.Forecast Summary...Isolated thunderstorms will develop mid-day as an area of low pressure passes through the region. They will favor the higher terrain of the northern Areas. The main threats will be locally strong winds and brief heavy rain. Much drier air will overspread the region tonight. This will leave our area dry with seasonably hot afternoon highs through the weekend. It will be windy on Friday. Looking ahead to next week, a strong area of high pressure will set up over the Desert Southwest. It will produce very hot afternoon high temperatures. Monsoon moisture may try to move northward mid-week.
